Hi Everyone 43 and finally gettn fit

Hi everyone my name is Tammy, I wanted to introduce myself and just say the toughest part of getting back into being fit starts with finding all of you to help keep me motivated (daily affirmation #1) Im a single mother of 3 trying to find a balance of live work play and time for me. I fully recognize im not the petite little 22 year old anymore. I have tried dating but the feeling im fugly has held me back. Im currently on a 14 day challenge to reset myself though a site i found called "criticallyhealthy" and have lost 10lbs in my first week yeahh me! I tried it beacuse it had a money back guarantee but in all honesty I have tried everything shy of a tummy tuck..you know beauty is a duty if you want to be a cutie right. ok everyone cheers to finding your fit this year i know i am, thank you jesus. I would love to hear what others are doing to find inner an outter beauty again ?

Hello Tammy,

I can have my moments of feeling fugly too, but of course, that's something to ignore. I am sure your children think you are perfect just the way you are! It's great to want to get healthy, lose weight, and have fun with your appearance though. I can't wait to fit in to a smaller size of clothing. I really like pretty clothes but I don't like shopping when I am this size. So I will buy myself clothes when I lose. So what are some of the things you are looking forward to?

your a darling thanks - honestly the thing i look forward to again is being ok with looking at myself in the mirror. Currently i am a plus and overweight by about 45 lbs and my goal is to get back to a healthy 6 or 8, lose the chin and clear up my skin. I also would like to be able to climb a flight of stairs an not be out of breath! I have to confess that a lot of this was brought on by depression when i lost my husband. Its been hard coming into my 40's ... what types of training programs have you tried that make you feel comfortable in your skin

Sorry to hear you lost your husband. Quite understandable that depression and weight gain would accompany something so stressful. It's great to hear you are focusing on your health now.

I am not a big exerciser. In warm months sometimes I take long walks. I need to do that a lot more. What about you?
