New and need advice!

Hi,

Im using slimming world recipes to lose a small amount of weight 7lb. Im new to this so need some help?

Im 5ft 6in weight 10st 2lb which i think is too heavy.
I used to be 9.5 stone.
Im 49.
I started at xmas and Ive lost 1lb and thats it.

Breakfast 2 weetabix, semi skimmed
lunch usually healthy soup, tuna salad, couscous.
No snacks
Tea mostly sliiming world recipes, I dont fry, bake, eat veg, very healthy.
No puddings

But on a friday I have prosecco with a healthy tea.

Going to the gym three times a week.

Dont have suppers and cut out bread completely.

Dont have sugar on anything.

Three weeks and no change in weight.

I have a frozen shoulder, dont take meds, work in an office.

When I was 32 I lost weight easily using slimming world but I went too thin.

What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to social slimmers

Firstly, are you having anything else except the prosecco that isn't fruit, veg, potatoes, rice, pasta, meat or fish?
If you are only having prosecco once a week I think you need some more foods in your diet with sugars/fats in them. It doesn't have to be anything huge, but something small each day that you can count as your syns. It sounds daft but they actually help you lose weight. It's to do with making yoour body process the foods you're eating, but your body also needs some form of fat.
Dressing on your salad maybe?

You could also benefit from changing some of your foods if you've been eating the same things since Christmas. Swap your Weetabix for porridge maybe, or other cereal you like.

Do you drink enough water? It's surprising how much that can help with weight loss.

But, it could also be your body telling you that it doesn't want to lose weight. I've seen lots of people who when they get near their target weight, the losses slow right down and in some cases stop because their body is happy where it is.

Hi thanks I dont eat a lot of fruit or drink lots of water. I drink herbal teas and decaf coffee. I will try porridge I do have it in the cupboard. I eat some nuts and dont eat biscuits but sometimes at weekend I will have some dark chocolate.

My body has always weighed around 10 stone since I turned 40. Im a size 12 but feel as if I could tone up and lose some belly fat.

It may just be that you need to do some toning exercises rather than losing weight?
Or at least keep eating healthy but do the exercise too. That's the best way to get those inches reduced
If you up your water intake, I would imagine you'd see a difference in losses. Someone in my group upped their water last week and lost 1.5lvs where they've been maintaining for the past 5-6 weeks.
