Hello!

Hi
I joined SW online on Sunday. First weigh in is Friday. Looking forward to it & nervous too!
I'm taking it slowly & setting myself small targets. I want to loose 4st 10lb. But, any loss is heading in the right direction.
I lost nearly 6 stone 7 years ago & through a lot of personal issues, changes I gained 4st 10lb!!!
I'm now in a really good place with my life & it's now time to grab this flab & shift it!!
Unlike last time I decided to tell everyone I work with & know I've joined. Mainly to help keep me focussed!
The one thing I did want is somewhere to 'chat' now & again for advise, or help!
I wasn't totally against going to a group, but due to a really hectic job & home life I knew online was my best option.

Hi Clair, welcome to social slimmers!

I think small targets are the way to go wth a lot of people. I know I find the overall weight loss goal daunting at times, especially when I'm having a rough day/week.

We are absolutely here to help and support when you need it, and we're either in the same boat or have been in the past so we know where you're coming from

Hi Clair, welcome. I know you will enjoy it here. I drop in from time to time and there's always something new to read/learn/chat about :-) Well done on taking the bull by the horns as it were and getting on with losing the weight.

In relation to the amount you want to lose I know most people do it bit by bit target wise I didn't and just shamed myself :-D and announced the full amount I wanted to lose :-D

I need to set myself small targets ... 4st 10lb seems such a long way away 😱 Lol
We shall see what tomorrow's weigh in brings ... at least it will (fingers crossed) be a few pounds less!!

I'm an emotional eater ... so I need to keep focussed 😊

First weigh in complete & 5 days in & ive lost 5lb!!! Sooooo happy with that result!! 😀
