Hi all

Just found this site and look forward to taking part. I joined SW online on Sunday and as I have loads of weight to lose I am in it for the long haul. Yesterday was my first day on the plan and I am impressed so far.

Different this time

Hello there. I joined Slimming World online this Monday.
I've done this loads of times before (both SW and WW)and joined both clubs heaps of times over the years. I feel really motivated as I always do.......for about a week. Problem is I lose very slowly due to several things:have to take a daily steroid,the menopause (now that's a story in itself) and an anti-depressant notorious for causing weight gain. Typically what happens is I stick to the diet for a couple of weeks where the pattern is generally a loss of 2 pounds in week one and half a pound in week 2, I start to think "bugger this,life's too short" and start to sabotage the diet!!!
I'm 2.5 stones overweight and I hate it but can't seem to stop the self sabotage.
This was meant to be a "Hi I'm new" post but seems to have turned into a bit of a self pitying bleat.
I really want this time to be different so anyone out there who has a similar pattern of......er......lack of success,I'd love to hear from you
