Hello Everyone

Hi,

Just to come and introduce myself. I'm a 26 year old girl from the UK, finally decided to get serious about losing weight.

In the past year I've gone from 9 and a half stone to just over 11 stone, mostly due to anxiety-related comfort/binge eating. Most of my clothes no longer fit and the last straw was realising that my legs are now too large for my boots!

I'm hoping to get back to my previous weight, unfortunately due to health problems that leave me mostly bedridden I'll have to do it via diet alone. Kinda dreading the long, slow process tbh so glad to have found a forum for mutual support.

Think that's about it - looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Elexis, welcome to the forum. I have chronic illness and can't exercise but still manage to lose. Good luck!

Hi Elexis, welcome to social Slimmers.
There will be a few people here who can relate to the comfort/binge eating, I know I can, so you aren't alone there
Do you have a particular plan in mind? Or are you just planning to eat healthily?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys

AliCat - that's really encouraging to know I can do it via diet alone, was a bit worried about it not being feasible!

Sarah - I'm mostly planning to just eat healthy. I'm calorie counting to try and get an idea of how much my body needs to not feel hungry (most calculators that estimate calorie requirements aren't very accurate if you're bedridden). Planning to make my diet all wholegrains, nuts, lean protein, fruits and veg, might improve my illness into the bargain - fingers crossed
