Hi PaulaJane. You should have a look through some of the SW food journals for inspiration. Planning is the key. It's a good idea to cook in bulk and freeze food in portions which you can reheat after work. Best of luck!

Hi Paula

Have you tried changing your foods around? Sometimes eating the same things all the time can put a stop to your losses.
Also, make sure you are eating enough. I know a few people in my weekly group who don't eat enough, either a big enough portion or enough meals in general.

Like Ali said, batch cooking is a god send when you need something quick after work or for a meal during work hours. My freezer is usually full with plastic tubs all labelled up

I remember you posting a couple of your food logs on another thread - did you change anything from those? Or increase your speed foods?

Have you noticed your clothes feeling any looser? Sometimes people lose inches rather than pounds, as annoying as it is!!

Try to bulk up your meals with the protein foods - eggs, meat, fish, anything marked with a P in your book make at least 1/3 of your meal up with these, and at least 1/3 of speed foods.
So throw some extra ham/chicken/tuna into your salads, and maybe some pasta if you fancy it?

Soups are good too, although with this weather changing around constantly it's hard to tell if it's too warm for soup or not! (I made a batch at the weekend and now it's really warm everyday and I can't cope ) at the minute I'm having butternut squash and sweet potato soup with onion and celery (sounds odd but it's lovely!) with some ham thrown in to bulk it up and fill me up

What about making quiche? Personally I'm not an egg fan, but there's loads of people in my group who make a quiche and either use it for meal times or snack on it between meals. I know enough to know it's made with a Batchelors pasta & sauce made up with water rather than milk... I'll find the recipe!

I've also make up the Batchelors Savory rices and put veggies in them and some meat and taken those for my lunch.
Or even an extra portion of a meal from the night before, or a batch cooked meal - and I've done loads of different things with that - lasagne, chilli, curries, cottage pie, casseroles, bolognese
If you've got access to a microwave, the possibilities can be endless

If it's sweet things you want to snack on, the hifi bars are great for me, or make up a syn box. Find some treats that you like, label them all up and put them all in a box. Try to look for things around 6 Syns or less, like the treat size chocolate bars and when you need something grab one of those.
Being pre-labelled I know it helps a lot of people.

Hi Paula!

You have some great advice so far and I can only add that messing around with your food and your metabolism can actually help shift things.
