My name is Issy. I have to admit I found this place completely randomly when I googled Slimming world forums and this came up!

I know this is not a purely SW forum btw but having looked round the place, it all seems so friendly I thought I would join.

I lost just over 3 stone 2 years ago with SW online. I have put a stone of it back on due to the rather stressful and tempestuous last 18 months.
I do not want to put any more back on thank you so I am back on SW.
However I am doing it on my own as I still have the books etc and I cannot afford £60 at the moment! To be fair I do have a background in nutrition and love cooking so am hoping that will be enough.
BUT I am not daft - I know there will be days when I want to drink a vat of wine and eat a mountain of chocolate which is why I am here for the on line help.

I am 50 years old, perimenopausal ( which is fun... ) and am getting married in September!!!

I want to lose at least 2 stone and then I will see how I go. I am doing this for both health and vanity.
I am also trying to do the 10,000 steps a day challenge ( which apparently is what is needed for a healthy heart) so this coupled with the diet, will hopefully make 2015 a lot less stressful for me.
I hope I can give help as well as ask for it
Thank you for having me xx

Hi Issy

I want to lose at least 2 stone. Then I will have a think.
Marie - you have done well!
Did you start off in SW like me and then decide to go it alone?

Hi Issy,

I too started on SW in 2013 for a couple of months then went my own way, it really gave me a kick start and I changed some of my eating habits for the better. I too gained some back last year through bad choices while we were moving home and then had a lot done to the house which didn't make life easy.

I'm sure your past habits will come creeping back to you without needing to spend £60

Good luck reaching your target for your wedding day

Awww what a lovely incentive.
I'm getting married next year and this is helping spur on the weight loss too.
