Hey Everyone,

My name is Jen and I am joining ahead of starting my new diet/fitness regime tomorrow!

Basically I am going to be following the Paul Mckenna I can make you thin book and the NHS' Couch to 5k programme.

This is all because I have signed up to do a charity 5k run in support of Save The Rhino's so seriously need to loose the blubber and get a bit fitter before the day of the race (27/07/14)

Hoping to shed 2st 10lb to be at 11st 0lb on the day of the race.

I will make my own diary-style thread once I find the relevant section and post it back here.

Look forward to making some good friends here.

Hi Jen,

Welcome to the forum

Heard of Paul McKenna (who hasn't lol) but not known anyone who has followed his book. You'll have to let us know how you get on.

Wobbles (the other admin) and PrincessPikachu (moderator) are both training for great manchester run so you are in good company

Hi Jen!

Thank you so much for running for the rhinos! That is a commendable cause. Yes, lots of runners here at the forum so you'll feel at home. I sure wish I could run but I have a hurt foot right now.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes and the good lucks I have pictures of Rhino's everywhere to keep me motivated. My fiancé thinks I've gone slightly mad. :P

If all of us couch potatoes would join Jen and run not only for the cause of saving rhinos but other endangered species as well, the world might be a better place for all humanity. Please Jen when you start your weight shedding program, add bicycle riding to your jugging.

Welcome and good luck getting to goal for your run. My 10k run isn't far away now (18th May) and now down to training hard.
