So you want to give up smoking? The first thing most of us think about is dealing with the withdrawals, the habit ... we know how bad it is for us but it has us gripped and for most it's not easy giving up.
Nicotine can take up to 72 hours to leave the body, sometimes more but you can speed up the process.
So how can you speed up the recovery process and remove nicotine quicker from the body?
LOTS OF WATER
Water will help you flush nicotine from the body but also help you flush other toxins from the body. Don't just drink water to flush out nicotine it has so many other benefits for you health and skin.
EXERCISE
Exercise will boost your metabolism and aside from burning fat you will burn off the nicotine ... yes you will sweat that awful stuff out even a brisk walk depending on your fitness level.
VITAMIN C
Vitamin C also helps boost the metabolism. Drinking plenty of orange juice will be good for you however if this doesn't fit with your plan plenty of yummy strawberries are also an option not forgetting the other health benefits of berries.
NICOTINE FREE
Remember nicotine will not leave your body if you take replacements such as patches and vaping... yes you have stopped smoking cigarettes but to detox from nicotine you need to get through those first days.
TIP:
You can buy 0% nicotine liquids for vaping which might help with the 'habit'. It's advised to do your own research before deciding.
TRIGGERS
Avoid the normal routines you would usually have with cigarettes:
Coffee
Alcohol
TIP:
One of my personal cravings was after dinner ... you can't not eat (haha) so try a pint of water. Remind yourself you can do this. Remind yourself of the health benefits.
It's a massive step to a healthier you

Good luck
