So proud of my husband!

I have been worrying about my husband's health for a while as he just eats junk food the whole time. I can make him a healthy meal and he will eat a tub of Pringles or big bar of chocolate after it, dohh! Also he does no exercise. He is slim but I do worry about the health implications.

We have had a gym membership for a while and he's finally started going! He's been four times this week and I'm so proud of him! He seems really motivated and in the right mindset. He's also eating better, tracking all his foods to see where he is with things and is allowing treats in moderation.

I'm so proud of him and hopefully he can keep going with it

That's really great and I am sure it will help you out a lot if he's also following a better routine. It's also nice when you can do things together to stay active.

It is definitely helping me a lot too He is working nights this week and has still been to the gym most days. I really admire his commitment

I know just what you're saying here Bev.
My hubby a few years ago was well, obese and I worried a lot. Nothing I cooked said or did helped at all. It was only when he made up his mind to do it that he has done so.
He's been a perfect weight for two years now and recently had started slipping but back at it he went and is now fine again.
I admire his sticking power and energy ( the man swims miles ! and cycles too ) I wish I had some of it. LOL

It sounds like your husband has done so well! Well done to him! It is a good motivation for us when they stick to a health plan.
My husband is putting me to shame this week!

We were told at SW that if you have a thing for Pringles try putting one on a plate and microwaving it. It turns to fat apparently. That should be enough to put anyone off them. Also, if you set fire to them.....do be careful and not let kids see you doing it either.....they flare up!
I don't eat them and have not tried these suggestions but a lot of SW members said they tried it and it put them right off eating them.

Wow that sounds like a great idea! We have three tubs in at the moment, so when the next one gets opened I'll try that!

Did you know that testosterone levels can change the way a man gains or drops his weight? I just learned that this week. My guy is getting back into workout mode too but we had to get a full physical and the okay from his doctor first (still waiting for results too).

That is interesting, I didn't know that the testosterone levels could affect things. My husband has gained around 2.5 lbs but the scales say that it's body fat % and not muscle, which is weird as he has been working out so much and eating well.
