Thanks Stephen! I am also afraid the most to find crappy trainer;-)) not pleasant thing to lose money, time and motivation in vain(

If you have joined a gym then it is important to get personal trainer service because this service is helpful and we can learn about many training programs and about many exercises.

Ginger, out of concern for your safety you should consider hiring one temporarily so they can teach you the correct way to do exercise so you get maximum benefit (efficiency of movements) and don't hurt yourself by straining your body in ways you shouldn't. It's not just about how to get into a piece of equipment and use it. It's about how to pick the right resistance and movements so you get the maximum results from the effort that you're going to spend anyway. Wrong effort = less results. I'm not saying you need one long term, but if you've never used the equipment or weights before, you should consider it.
