Any runners out here or wanna be one ?:)

So after official 5 races now and one half marathon for June 22 i think i can call myself a runner! ...maybe a slow one but its the participation that count !

Since i am injure and most likely will end up walking my first half marathon rather running in it I already enroll myself in the Rock and roll half marathon in San Francisco ( and yes i will be running on the bridge ! ) for March 2015!

Also planning on racing couples more race for 2014 ....a 10 k in the Golden park in July and 13 k on Angel island a race trail...

So wanna be a runner ? or are you think about it ? or are you are and have some races plan already or maybe just running for the pleasure ( so to speak...)

Wow wish I could afford to enter as many as you have hun but I'm sticking with the free outdoors

You do FAB.

I've done plenty of outside running, 1 official 10k race and am registered to do the next local half marathon in 2015.

I want to badly do tough mudder in September but £90 the bank says no #sigh

I'm so jealous of all your races! I like to say I'm a runner, but I'm not doing too much of it ATM after I got injured and am slowly building back up!

I was meant to have done a 10k by now and have got a few ideas of some I want to do in the next year. I absolutely adore running though, it's a proper stress buster for me, I feel amazing after a run!

well the Trail races are the ones that cost the most here around $40 to $65 as if they are over 10 k and they need to set up water station and emergency etc... but the 5 K and 10 k have done near the golden gate bridge and park those are only $5 so not bad...its not fancy but they give you a ribbon at the end.
For this summer they are doing as well summer run and its located 5 minutes near me its basically a big lake of 8k and they give you a hour to complete before closing the race its every thursday night
the city doing those so they get people into shape and its more a social activity too.

PrincessPikatu i am sure you will get to do a race soon:happy dance:

The half marathon cost a bit of money always mine was $165 so think for half i will do that only once a year ! How much was yours Wobbles?

I would love to get outdoors, maybe it's something I need to start thinking about even if it is once a week on an evening

I just re-downloaded the Couch-to 5K app and I have been thinking about starting again. I keep thinking I will wait until I lose a bit more weight so it isn't so hard on my knees, but I loved it when I did it before. I ran a 5 K and an 8 K after completing the program, and I had never run before in my life, so it really worked well.

Ouch befit!!! My half was £28, not sure why but early entry was only available for a handful of weeks now entries are closed until autumn.

I'd love to do more and I'd love to consider the tough mudder but I don't have the pennies to constantly throw at it all sadly.

yes just read the infos and it said no refund on that one . Ankle is a bit better so think i will walk it for sure or at least part of it .

that is a fancy half Wobbles comes with a nice gear jacket etc...the rock and roll half marathon ( there is one in most the USA city all year around ) that i will do in April before my 40 birthday was $65 if register early then goes up to $85 i believe think that more the average price for race around California . The trails race are about $45-$50 . but yep it does add up . I was doing about a race a month to train for the half but i think now after it i will do one every 8 weeks maybe also think in winter time there is less race organize as well.

I'm enjoying my running but I don't want to keep throwing money at things constantly (not that I have it) when I have the free outdoors. The mudder as a new thing would be great but maybe another year it's for me. Just cannot justify it.

You're doing fab, maybe we should swap bank cards?
