I feel inspired
I was stuck. I did my best to stick to my diet and exercise but I was getting so discouraged because I didn't lose anything in almost 3 weeks. I weighed in this morning and I lost 4 pounds this week! I know it isn't a lot, but it is forward progress again! ![Yahoo](https://www.socialslimmers.com/images/smilies/yahoo.gif) I'm pretty happy about it.

Bluebird, that's wonderful! It's so hard when you hit those plateaus, and even though you're trying hard, things don't seem to be changing. I'm happy for you. Keep up the good work!

![Yahoo](https://www.socialslimmers.com/images/smilies/yahoo.gif) well done! Do you take measurements and pictures? I find often if I've not lost anything scales wise, the inches have come off anyway! It's a great motivator cos sometimes the scales do just take a bit to catch up!

4lbs is a lot actually ![Wink](https://www.socialslimmers.com/images/smilies/wink.gif) 1-2lbs is expected ... So be proud VERY proud.
Please remember if your exercising the tape measure is as important as the scales. My first month at the gym I nearly have up the scales didn't really move but I'd taken some basic measurements and I'd gone down, RESULT
Well done

I do take measurements, but I tend to only do that a couple times a month. There hasn't been a big difference in the inches but there has been a little here and a little there so they are coming off. What I always notice is the change in my clothes, especially my pants. The seat and legs feel less snug.
Thank you!

I check monthly ![:)](https://www.socialslimmers.com/images/smilies/happy.gif) it's frustrating how slow this journey is but it all matters and equally how your clothes fit can be good signs no matter the scales or measuring tape ![<3](https://www.socialslimmers.com/images/smilies/bouncy_heart.gif) go you

Congratulations! I think it takes time to get over the discouragement hump, I know it did for me. I only check my stats once a week and after doing this for years it rolls right into my normal everyday life.

I needed a boost of inspiration. I went to the doctor today and found out I gained five pounds back. I haven't felt well lately so it crept back up.
Congratulations, Bluebird!
