I recently converted to veganism

I started up a vegan diet a few weeks ago. I was a vegetarian for 7 years before I converted to veganism. My favorite dairy product has always been cheese. I love cheese pizzas. I go all out with the pizza toppings to replace the cheese. I also add corn meal and olive oil. I've lost a couple pounds since removing the dairy from my diet. I do feel more energized. I think that I will stick with the vegan diet. Are there any other vegans on the board?

There's loads of vegan "cheeses" out there for pizzas, although my mind has totally blanked on what they're called? I'm a wannabe vegan, I'll do it one day, but I'm not quite ready yet! I've been veggie about 6months after a few years break where I ate meat again! I'm eating far too much dairy ATM and my skin's a wreck from it!

I can not quite commit to the whole vegan diet. I still eat eggs and fish and I use honey, all which are not part of a vegan diet. I eat dairy too because I can not afford to lose the extra calcium. I would rather get it from food than take a supplement pill.

I would also prefer to get calcium from foods instead of taking a calcium supplement. You save money by getting it from the food as little pills do not fill you up. Food does. I eat a lot of green leafy vegetables, nuts, soy and various herbs. Those are excellent sources of calcium.
