What's your experience with low-carb diets?

Hi all,

Is anyone here eating a low-carb diet to lose weight, eg. paleo, atkins, primal etc?

What has been your experience so far?

Did it work for you?

Cheers,
Iain.

I am trying to keep my carbs as low as possible but find it very difficult as I do like a bit of bread so I wouldn't exactly call my diet a low carb one but the intention is there.
I do find that if I can keep my carbs really low it does help with the weight loss but on the other hand having or going into ketosis is not a pleasant experience IMO. I found that my breath was so obnoxious I wanted to get out of it a.s.a.p... and I live on my own!

I don't like the four letter word, personally. Diets may make you lose weight, but you will NOT keep it off. The most important thing is to make LIFESTYLE changes to lose weight and keep it off for good. Diets don’t work nor does fad products and pills. Learn how to cut 250 calories per day from your regular diet and do 30 minutes of exercise to burn an extra 250 calories. Hope this helps
