I can't get enough calories

I have an issue, basically I'm never hungry and get full very fast. I know that in order to lose weight I need to be calorie deficient. However, I pretty much stick between 500-1000 calories a day since I have a hard time remembering to eat. Sometimes I forget to eat for a full day. Yet I'm obese. How should I plan my meals when I get full so quickly? What type of diet should I try?
Thanks!

Hi

Are you following an eat healthy routine or a specific plan?
How many calories on average are you consuming a day?

Could you maybe log the last 2-3 days of your food down for me/us to look at?

I'm not following a specific plan at this time. Unfortunately I am up by 4am and don't get home until 6-8pm. By the time I get home I don't feel like cooking and just roam around the kitchen and pick at food then almost immediately go to bed.

Yer that isn't good.... Under eating can either cause you not to lose weight or even gain!

Without the right nutrition you will also snack on 'goodies' when that sugar hit is wearing down you're body will want more and believe it or not the sluggish can't be bothered can be from not fuelling the body right.

Just wondering before I make any suggestions how active is your job are you on your feet or a desk all day?

Mostly desk. I have days like this week where I am on my feet all day and doing heavy lifting and running around for an event that I have to set up and host for the week. But the average week I'm at a desk or commuting.

I fell into the desk job crap eating mode. I would skip breakfast and late morning eat salted crisps then I'd skip lunch ... dinner would be over portioned though.

Meal prep is a must, getting into that routine and the routine of eating from not easting isn't easy but totally doable; I've done it so I guess I can say that lol. You could prep a couple days worth of salads in air tight ford boxes and also prep some meals you can easily take out the freezer in the morning, zap when home?

I would consider eating clean and add more good fats and protein to your diet instead of sugar snacks that will trigger craving just crap or if you feel you would adapt and be more disciplined with a plan to follow Slimming world.

Swap pretzels for a small helping of nuts, almonds is good.
Add greens to your breakfast like asparagus, kale & spinach
PB should be natural, also almond butter is good... lovely with apples like you have or rice cakes
Make your own truffles with raw ingredients
Total yogurt is good fat unlike mullers etc, add honey to sweeten or defrost frozen berries if you are under eating I wouldn't have the 0% fat option, both are nice
Berries for snacking is an amazing choice
Avocados are good fats nice with eggs, tomatoes & spinach (with or without some ham/bacon)

Meal plan and prep is the biggest key!

Not sure if any of that helps but hopefully some of it does. I took advise through my journey and broke it up over time to what suited me

I really appreciate it! It's so hard to go from not eating to eating. Hopefully I can get into a habit of meal prep. Thanks!

Your meals strike me as a little low on fat, which can definitely help you lose weight in the right quantities. Try adding some tablespoons of olive oil throughout the day. It's easy to get your servings in. Olive oil is also pretty high cal.
