Cheat day eating.

Morning Lovelies, hope you are all fabulous and full of glitter this morning.
First off before I go on Hubbster and I try not to use Tue term "cheat day" For me this implies a day full of chocolate and cake so because I didn't do well with it (I'm so weak) we decided to call it a "Free day" this works out better psychologically for me as I'm concentrating more on meals rather than stuffing donuts in my food hole.

That in mind.... How do you feel about your free Day and what sorts of foods do you like?
Today I'll be having Chinese takeaway for dinner and maybe a wee beer but beyond that I'm not really bothered 😊

I don't have a whole free day as I'm on SW. I really struggle with anything 'cheaty' as like you one turns into ten and I still want more.

Thursday after weigh in I always have a treat meal, I have what ever I fancy and don't hold back. The only thing I'm cautious with is the pudding, I've got a real sweet tooth so for me I have to avoid cakes and biscuits... Especially biscuits because one is never enough and sometimes that means more than one packet So I tend to stick with one chocolate bar, usually M&M's or Maltesers as I like that I can spread them out to feel like I've had a choccy overdose.

I'm now dreaming of a whole 'free day' it would be scary and I would probably just spend the day at McDonalds!! Haha... Just shows how easy you could revert to old ways doesn't it?

Enjoy your Chinese, I'm drooling just thinking of it

Saturday's after a club bike ride (usually 60+ miles) I end up having a load of syns, eating loads because I'm hungry and don't mind having beers etc if we go out socialising. its a bit of a free day but I have to eat to be able to do the ride then recover, I enjoy doing both! I still try and eat healthily, tonight we had home made curry, delicious and SW friendly.

I've never tried having a free day. Maybe it would help me. I presume it's where you eat ultra healthy for six days and relax the rules a little for the seventh?

Yeah it is. Not necessarily ultra healthy but following your plan. I actually only had my Chinese meal and a beer and that was it. I've even managed to drop half a pound. Hopefully it'll be more by weigh day! 😁

Okay that sounds useful. Sunday would be a good day for me I think. That's the day that I often have least stress and my partner is sometimes at home so I have a little help with the kids. That way I wouldn't be so prone to using cheat day as a binge day! And if you only had a chinese meal and a beer you did pretty well! Do you ever feel the next day any deprivation because you have a whole week before a free day again?

Not really, the next day I sometimes have the junk food sweats 😂
I'm training myself to stop cravings. To focus on that meal and remind myself that that's enough because I would just binge all day telling myself that it's OK because it's a free day and then crack up because the next day I'll have put on 6 pounds. I don't feel deprived because then I can look forward to planning the next one. Right now I'm looking forward to my free Day when I move house because Hubbster and I have promised ourselves an Indian takeaway 😊

Planning what you would eat on a free day does sound like a sensible idea. To give a little more control over it.

It does help. That way I'm not distracted, especially if I'm in town or away on a day trip.

I personally focus on one cheat meal, including a dessert as I'd lose the run of myself with a whole day off
