Maybe a liquid diet does not technically qualify as fasting but for me it does. I like to hit the all liquid day on Monday, right after the weekend when I have done something naughty when it comes to my eating. For me this is not easy and it is not so much a hunger issue as simply missing the joy of chewing.

This is not something I could do. For me liquid just brings back bad thoughts of too much dental work I had to have done and then I was stuck on a liquid diet for far too long. The idea of it just makes me nauseous thinking about it. I can't help with this one but maybe someone who has done it can shed some light to help you out. I know it can't be an easy thing to take on.

I don't think I could do a liquid diet either. I would find it far too restrictive and I love the process of eating!

I have to agree that being on an all liquid diet reminds me too much of being on a restricted hospital liquid food diet. I know that you definitely can lose some major weight while being on this diet, but for me I would also miss the motion of chewing. I guess maybe you could chew on some gum when you get the urge to have something in your mouth, but would that count against you in some way?

I agree with you about the chewing part Terry. I like to chew and crunch. Once a week wouldn't be so bad though. I think I could do that.
