How I Stayed Within My Diet Last Night
Last night we went out to the beach and boardwalk here in Florida and it was not only gorgeous but there are also plenty of places to eat. Being tempted by all the fried and sweet things on the menu I opted for this meal.
Fresh green salad with blackened scallops, honey mustard dressing (not sweet at all), and garlic naan. I did have a Coke but I really needed one and I don't drink it at home at all. All in all, I think I did okay because the naan was good but not too much. The honey mustard was freshly made and it wasn't sweet like a bottle dressing is.

That sounds like a lovely evening at the beach. Well done on making good choices. It can be really tempting to go off track in these types of situations, but you did great and your meal sounded delicious! Well done

That is something I have never tried. What do scallops actually taste like? I remember years ago my mother told me I would never like them but I really want to try them out. I keep hearing about how good they are.

Oh, so very nice! I think you did quite well, considering what all the options would have been! Seafood is so good for you as well. I "cheated" and had a soda the other night as well and for some reason it really satisfied my craving!

Very good because I'm sure there was a lot more on the menu appealing and not so good

That's some strong will power, well done! I always cave and eat badly when we're out

Oh yeah, you have no idea! Those fried clam strips were literally calling my name but I figured that I could always go back and try them at some point. Plus, I really didn't want a belly full of grease either.

Seafood is always tempting for me because I like it deep fried with lots of fattening tartar sauce and they better not forget to bring the hushpuppies too.
Nice choice of a salad, Avocado. The dressing sounds lovely.

What are hush puppies though? They're a shoe shop here!
