When you mess up for the day

When you mess up for the day, do you just say "heck with it" and then completely fall off the wagon for that day, or do you just shrug it off and stick with the diet as best as you can?

I have a really bad habit when I mess up and eat something that I shouldn't have, I tell myself that I may as well just write the whole day off and start again tomorrow. That is so self-defeating.

I am terrible with going off track for the whole day when I mess up! I just think sod it and then am bad all day. It's not a good mentality at all to have and I'm trying to work on not being so all or nothing.

I have done but both to be honest my worst days are those when everyone is home, the kids from school and the husband from work. Not only do I mess up my eating habits but my work day is shot too.

On days I mess up, I usually say the hell with it and continue eating. I tell myself I'll start fresh the next day. I know this is very self defeating, and I hate myself for it, but I do it time after time after time.

I ALWAYS said "heck with it!!" the other day i hated myself, i could not start again, i said "ok, one last day and i'll start diet". But now i set a rule for myself .i know i will have days when i cheat diet;-(((( I decided even if i am a cheater today i will cheat only untill 6pm. I think eating right before sleep is one of the worst things((

I do that too. I write off the whole day as a loss when I spoil my diet by doing something I shouldn't have. It is like Bevziibubble said, it's an all or nothing mentality.

I try not to just say to hell with it...unless it's my treat day, if I slip up thru the day I'll try and have a good tea, or if I happen to binge at night then I'll really make up for it the next day. I find it helps keep my mind on track and also prevents a full on fat day

I'm the same way, when everyone is home, I seem to fall of the wagon much easier! And then, depending on the time of day, I just give up. If it's in the evening and I have been good all day, I try to stick it out...
