So self-conscious I wear loose clothing

Everything seems to be made fitted and until I've lost my weight I can't stand to wear tight clothing. I don't like seeing my tummy stick out, so I try to find tops that are loose fitting and hide it. Anyone else have this problem?

I said just about the same thing the other day when I wrote about hiding behind throw pillows and my purse when I'm sitting down. That all comes from being self conscious about the extra weight.

It's funny how some people are comfortable with the way they look and others, myself included, are not always comfortable. I wear baggy clothing because I just don't like things that cling to me.

It's so common for some women to feel self conscious, I have been that way my whole life. I have a good friend who is very thin and she feels exactly the same way. It has so much more to do with our mindset than our actual weight. If we could discover the secret to feeling comfortable in our bodies, no matter what size we are, THAT would be amazing!

I'm the same way and have been since late elementary school -- ever since I figured out that I was bigger than everyone else in the class. I do like Jeans, too, and hide behind couch pillows, my purse, my jacket, etc.

Yes I do and the only area I have an issue with is my stomach. I still miss wearing my baby-tees and I have not worn one easily in over a year. Another issue I have is pants, any type really. They either fit really good in the back (and it looks nice) or they hide what is in the front and the back looks like I am flat.

I love flare type tops but now it depends what the style of top is and sometimes even colour. I bought a vest top the other day a size bigger than another top I bought, I find they sit so tight but definitely depends what my trousers fit like etc that I am wearing with certain tops.

It's ok to wear what makes you comfortable

I totally know this feeling have you ever looked at what body shape you are? There are some good websites that help you find what clothes enhance your figure and make you look slimmer.

Definitely stick to what you're comfortable with if that's not feasible, but I promise as you lose weight it will get better. I know I never believed that back when I started, but even though I still have so long to go, I really can't believe the difference in my confidence

Keep going hun, we're all here to cheer you on!!
