Just eat it already!
I have noticed that when I have a craving for something bad at night, I should just eat it. The last few nights I have gotten cravings for chocolate. I ate a Greek yogurt, then pretzels and then I caved and ate a candy bar. I bet if I started with the candy bar I would have stopped eating.

I've been buying dark high cocoa chocolate and limiting myself when I get those urges. You probably have a point though that if you were really craving goodies the healthier options just added onto that. Try mini sized treats rather than larger candy bars/chocolate ... Moderation they say

Haha, this is so similar to what I do. I did read once that if you just give in to the craving, have a small bit, then you won't intake all that other stuff, trying to be " good". It's a good lesson for me!

I'm the same way! I do much better just to go on ahead and give in to the craving rather than trying to substitute other foods.

Maybe that's the trick to it--go with the 100 calorie packs or fun sized chocolates instead of a full candy bar. That's pretty smart. Thanks for the tip!

Yes, Poppy, that's what I do. I've bought the 100 calories treats and when I need my chocolate fix I will eat that. I don't feel as guilty afterwards and I get my treat!

Ah yes, cravings. Cravings can be really tricky and I suggest that you need to do more cleansing. Residual amounts of chemicals in the processed foods that we consume reside in our tissues and organs thereby increasing demand for such foods in the future. Until you purge it all out, you will never be free of such cravings.

I never thought about it that way Avocado. I am not really into "clean eating". I am just trying to watch what I eat.
I do buy the small candy bars - you know the fun-size packs. I just eat one of those and my craving is gone.
