Muffin top

I try to dress myself so I don't spill over the top of my jeans or at least wear a top that camouflages it. I saw a lady at the bookstore and she was wearing pants at least two sizes too small with a really tight, short top that exposed her belly and half of her butt.

I could never do that. If anyone ever does see me do that, please, hit me in the head with something and throw a blanket over me.

Oh TwylaDee, you remind me of when I was at Zaxby's one time and the girls in front of me had exactly what you are describing. I mean it was so bad, that you could see the plumber's crack.

Of course, we were all behind them in line and laughing because they shouldn't be out in public like that!

It happens so often that I want to laugh and cry and tell them all at the same time! Then again, it does remind me to double check myself in the mirror from every angle before I leave the house!

I find younger people don't seem to care what they look like when they are wearing tight pants with their muffin top hanging out, while I'm so self conscious I can't stand my belly sticking out of my shirt. I usually wear loose tops.

I could never leave the house like that! It just simply wouldn't happen.

How could they not know that their clothes are too small? The only excuse would be if they were very poor and it's the only thing they have to wear but that isn't true because I see people dressed like this at the cinema, out shopping, at restaurants, everywhere!

I can only assume that they think they look good or they just don't care.

I think some people really do not care. I don't understand it, I mean I can understand not caring about your body that is your choice. When it comes down to showing your gut to the general public (and my kids), that I have issues with.

Has anyone every watched that show What Not to Wear? They take people and teach them the proper way to dress. One thing they have said has really stood out for me that I've never forgotten. They said to dress the body the have now, not the one you wish you have. Good advice.
