What is your usual breakfast?

What do you usually have for breakfast? Lately, I have been having a green smoothie each morning. Do you generally have the same thing each morning or do you try to switch it up some?

I have a variety of things, usually involving eggs. (I'm doing Slimming World) These are a few we have (husband also):

Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs
Lean Ham, poached egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, oven baked squares of potatoes
"Pancakes" made from yoghurt, oats, egg with fruit
Yoghurt and fruit, slice of high fibre bread, slice of low fat cheese.
Porridge with fruit
Omelette with ham, potatoes, peppers, mushrooms

Just lately I have been having a few different things. Recent breakfasts I've had include oatmeal, oatmeal with peanut butter, bacon and boiled eggs, boiled eggs and sautéed mushrooms

I cannot usually face breakfast..(I know, that's very unhealthy, right?) My mum insisted that I eat a boiled egg when we stayed with her, and it was a great start to the day. I just wish that I could carry it on at home, but a cup of tea is about the only thing that passes my lips lately!

I've never been a breakfast person and I will have a shake but I am starting to think I should mix it up a bit. I am going to try ... I bought some natural yoghurt which is apparently nice with some mixed nuts and fruit like blueberries.

Ruby breakfast is necessary to get the metabolism going. When I started dieting I was "wow crazy" I was losing weight eating 3 meals a day compared to my 1 in the evening. I just never stomached breakfast and was a lazy lunch person. It's finding what you can stomach but try even if it's one slice of toast (wholemeal) to be quick.

Coffee, splash of cream. No need to eat breakfast, the 'getting the metabolism going' thing is mostly irrelevant. If you like eating brekkie, go for it, but by no means essential.

I usually have the best meal of the day for breakfast. I think that's the healthiest thing to do. In-spite of being on a diet, you should always eat well for the first meal of the day. You can reduce portions then onward. So, milk, some bread and eggs and a glass of juice would be best!

Not meaning to be argumentative, but what do you base that argument on, regarding having the best meal at breakfast, and it being the healthiest thing to do. I'd be really interested in where you have got that info from, always something to learn :-)

Coffee! and lots of it!

To be honest I've never really ate breakfast because I'm crap in the mornings and always in a rush lol.

When I do have time it's usually a bowl of the kids cereal lol.

If I was to have time and a choice of what to have, I'd probably have what I had for dinner last night:
Potato waffles, bean, egg, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast + lots of coffee

This past week I have been all about tiny breakfast sandwiches. Today was a slice of ham and cheese that was toasted and eaten literally within minutes. I need to change breakfast up each week otherwise I get too bored with them.
