Hungry All The Time

It seems like I go through phases where I'm alternating between not feeling hungry at all for extended periods of time, to the opposite extreme where I feel almost ravenously hungry 24/7. First off, does anyone else go through this, and second, how do you deal with the hungry-all-the-time part?

I go through this! I have days when it gets to evening and I think I best eat something and then days like today when I wake up starving! I tend to think if I'm hungry my body needs it, although I do try to drink more water in case I'm actually just thirsty!

I'm exactly the same! It's so frustrating as I'm constantly hungry just a few hours after eating! At the moment I'm experimenting with a higher fat and lower carb diet as fat and protein is much more satisfying to the body than carbs.

I have noticed the more I workout in a single day the hungrier I get. The other day I spaced out two sets on the recumbent bike and before our normal supper time I was ready to just raid the kitchen.

On days you exercise, you should eat more, avidian. You still need the fuel. Whenever I enter exercise into MyFitnessPal, they give me a corresponding amount of extra calories even though the total is still set for weight loss.

I definitely have days of greater hunger than others. I try to fill up on vegetables and some protein while lowering the carbs.

I do go through this. I try to eat healthy foods when I'm hungry all the time. I also drink a lot of water! Get up and get moving too - that should curb some of your appetite. If you have to eat, make it be something healthy.

Try drinking a juice glass of water and see if that's what it is -- I've tried that and it works about half the time. The other half the time, it's probably actual hunger. I know what you mean, though. If I eat light meals throughout the day, I'll feel hungry almost all the time, too.
