Ways to burn more of those calories you eat
I think we all eat more calories over the holidays. I don't know anyone who doesn't eat more. I think the key is making sure that we burn those calories that we eat. What are you doing to burn them?
For me, I shop a ton during the holidays. The one key thing I do is walk the mall. I will walk for an hour before I step foot into a store to shop. Of course if I am trying to hit an early bird sale I shop and then I walk.
You definitely need to be a LOT more active to burn off extra calories if you eat too much during the holidays. (It's always a best bet not to overeat, but who does that?!) I do an hour of cardio every day and add on another hour of weight lifting every other day to help get the extra calories back off.
I've added a little home workout to my weekly routine which I'm hoping will help me along the way now when I over indulge but Mondays is always my punishment day at the gym for the weekend
Wobbles, I've never thought about doing extra on Mondays to make up for Saturday and Sunday, but that's actually a really good idea. I'll have to start tacking on a few more minutes to my Monday workouts and see if it helps any on Wednesdays when I weigh in.
