Dolmas

Has anyone ever ate dolmas? I guess the origins are Greek. They are popular in the middle east. A dolma is basically a grape leaf wrap with contents like mint, dill, black pepper, tomato, eggplant etc. The grape leaves are moist. I can't believe that I had not tried these until this past week. They are scrumptious. My local grocer has them available at the olive bar.

I don't like stuffed grape leaves if they have mint in them. There is something about the combination of savory flavors with mint that really puts me off.

You can substitute other spices for the mint. Maybe try cilantro instead. Or use more black pepper to take the place of mint. If anyone does use mint, just use a little bit so that it doesn't overpower the other flavors.
