Do you plan really far ahead like a week or 2 in advance for your meals? Or, do you kind of wait until the last minute like I do and see what the grocery store has on sale?!
I tend to plan for at least the week ahead. I buy extra meat and whatnot when it is on sale, but I still semi-plan meals ahead. I think it is important in keeping yourself on track.
A lot of the time I end up planning around what I already have in the cupboards. I'll make a list of things I need and check through the weekly sales advertisements and try to put together a plan.
Usually just for the next day but I guess I should try to plan a bit further in advance so I know where I am with everything and don't end up impulse eating!
I plan a couple of weeks out. I do shop the sales though. So if there is a great sale on something I will buy it and switch out a meal. I try to keep a menu on the fridge so everyone knows what we are having for the week.
