I have tried making quinoa a few different ways and wasn't too excited. I've made into a cold salad with cucumber and I liked it that way. To me, if just doesn't taste good warm. I'm probably not using it correctly. I've only just tried it for the first time in the past year.
I tolerate it, but I'd rather have couscous! Have you tried toasting it in a pan before cooking? It brings out a more nutty flavour and makes it a little more interesting! I think it's the texture I'm not too keen on! My 4 year old loves it though, I had some the other night and she stole the bowl off me!
I don't think I've ever had quinoa before--I've been looking for it on menus so I can try it and make sure I like it. I hear it's pretty unusual. I like couscous, though, so if it's similar, it might work out for me.
I'm not a big fan of it either. It's okay if you mix in a lot of vegetables and soy sauce, but other than that, I don't think it really has much taste by itself. It's a pretty healthy food, though, and it fills you up.
I like quinoa. It's not as good as rice in my opinion, but it's still good. I just have to make sure I either flavor it or mix it with my vegetables since it doesn't have much taste on its own.
