What do you get at the movies?
Do you just go without anything? Do you budget for popcorn? I was there last night, and the price alone made me not want to indulge!

I don't go to the cinema very often. I usually wait until the movie comes out on DVD. When I do go, I usually don't buy any concession items. I'll take some sugar-free hard candies in my purse. The thing is, the theater doesn't make much money from the movie. Most of their profits come from the concession stand sales.

If I indulge, I go for the kid's tray. It is smaller portioned and much, much less expensive (roughly five dollars where I live). Otherwise, I usually just go without.

Twizzlers are the only snack I get. I always buy a bottled water too. My kids get popcorn but they get extra butter. Good thing we only go once a month. Snacks are so expensive there!

Popcorn and a Coke! I only go to the theater about three times a year. It is okay to have buttery, salty popcorn. I usually eat every last kernel too.

Ha ha pointss! I can see you licking the bowl or container out. I am afraid I would do the same if I bought my own popcorn. My kids usually keep the container away from me.

You know what? I haven't even been to the movies in a really long time. We have "On Demand" with our cable here, as well as Amazon, Netflix, Redbox, so I really don't see the need anymore. When I used to go, I would get the most buttery and salty popcorn because I love movie popcorn!
I just figured it into my regimen as a treat because I didn't get it that much. I made sure to work out the next day though. Burn it off now!

I very rarely go these days because the price is just stupid. If I do go then I usually have a big popcorn!

Now I'm craving buttered popcorn! Hmm. Well...I do have 94% fat free popcorn, and a butter flavored olive oil spread. Maybe it'll be like the real thing. Calorie count probably isn't much better, though.
