How Often?

How often do you eat dessert? When you do, what types of desserts do you indulge in? At one time, desserts were officially meal #4 around here and we ate them everyday. No more! Now we only eat dessert about once a week and it's typically a brownie or cupcake.

I eat dark chocolate every single night. I abstain from animals, animal by-products, alcohol and liquid caffeine so I allow myself to indulge in dark chocolate at least once per day. I don't see anything wrong with that. I also smoke a ton of medical marijuana. That's the real dessert.

We have a bite of something sweet after dinner every night. It may only be a cookie or a cup of yogurt but it does seem to satisfy the sweet tooth. As long as I don't eat the whole pack of cookies, I feel like I'm O.K.

I hardly ever eat desserts as I prefer savoury foods. If we are eating out then I'll sometimes have cheesecake or ice cream.

Dessert is kind of a slippery slope for me. Usually I can manage the cravings if I don't give into them at all. One bite of something is rarely enough. I'll have a bite and my mind tricks me and says to just go ahead and have the whole thing.

I eat dessert once per night. I usually eat dark chocolate though it is hard to find vegan dark chocolate here in Rochester. All of Wegman's selection contains milkfat or some sort of butter. Gross.

I have this same problem, too. My hubby can buy those powdered donuts, for example, and just eat one per night until the bag is done. If I have one, it just wets my appetite for about four or five more, though!

Desserts aren't a huge thing for me. I eat more salty things like chips to be honest. I love eating Doritos, Cheez-It's, and Lay's Potato Chips! One sweet thing I like to indulge in the most is chocolate chip cookies.

I used to be like you. I had cravings for carbohydrates and salty foods. I eradicated those from my diet once I learned about how bad they are for the human body. Carbohydrates, especially the simple ones, are terrible for us. You are better off eating a dessert of dark chocolate than eating a bowl of salty carbohydrates.
