Weather changing foods you eat

We are coming up on the cooler months out of the year and I tend to always pack on a little more than the warm months. Does this happen to all of us or just some of us?

Yes! It's like my body wants to store fat for the winter. I crave starches and carbs much more than I do during the summer, and the holidays certainly don't help.

I like more carbs in the winter. But for some reason I seem to be able to eat less food in winter rather than summer.

This is actually very scientifically true! It's only natural that our bodies want to do this because think of how many years ago early hominids lived out in the elements. We needed that biological process to survive. I'd say you're a mutant if you don't pack on a few extra pounds!

I'm with bevz, I seem to have a little more control over the winter! I think I make better choices, even though I crave carby things, I tend to do more filling things!

It has cooled down a lot in my area so I've been eating a lot of soups and stews. My coffee consumption also increases during the fall and winter months. I just don't have an appetite when it's hot out. But I'm always hungry when it is cool.
