This week's plan of attack!

I've decided to do some cutting down this week, coffee and cigarettes! So this week I've got a new plan! I'm going to be alternating things, so every other time I fancy one I'll have something else! So every other coffee will be a green tea and every other cigarette will be e-cig instead! Hopefully it'll work. And I realise this post doesn't make a right lot of sense, my brain's not working properly, but I know what I mean

I discovered my green tea was over a year out of date so there'll be no green tea this week! Cutting down smoking seems to be going well though! Only day 1 though!

Not sure, but it was a lot less than usual. I didn't use the e-cig as much as I expected though oddly!

Sounds like you have a great plan Princess. I find that I have to take it one day at a time when I'm counting calories. As far as smoking goes, I had a little ceremony about 25 years ago. My last cigarette plus a shot of Dickel to celebrate my "quitting smoking" was just before Thanksgiving one year. I wanted a cigarette so bad for the next 6 months I could have eaten one but I stuck it out and have been smoke free ever since. Good luck. Drink plenty of orange juice.

Does orange juice work? I've been really good cigarette wise today, I've made myself wait at least an hour between them and quite a few times I've been to have one, started rolling and thought why?! And used the e cig instead! It's definitely a habit thing for me! I managed 5 hours when we were going on holiday, granted I was chain smoking before and after but I know I can do it! I'd love to be smoke free by Xmas!

Sounds like a good plan but it's always been my understanding that cutting it off cold turkey ends up being the best way to do it. That way you get all the nicotine out of your bloodstream faster. Everybody is different, though, so I hope you found the method that works for you!

That sounds like a really good way to cut your coffee and smoking in half. I've never thought about doing something like that before but I think I may have to steal your idea. I need to cut down on the diet sodas!

Jeans, cold turkey technically is the best way to do it cos every time you put nicotine into your system the addiction's re-activated if that makes sense? But I may well end up on a murder charge if I try that I've definitely cut down so far this week, just got to keep going! And I need to charge the e-cig, might help
