Interesting information some studies have found:
  • According to a study exercisers who drink green tea extract which contain therapeutic antioxidants had less muscle damage after a workout than those who just drink water!
  • Exercising on an empty belly is more likely to lose you muscle as well as the obvious...energy! An hour before exercise it is advised to have around 200 calories of complex carbs and protein. Fruit, yoghurt and cheese are the most popular suggestions!

That's very interesting about the effect of green tea. I'm going to Whole Foods today. I think I'll splurge on one of their good quality loose green teas. Thanks for telling us about this.

Your green tea's like my chickpeas although there's a lot more benefit to green tea I think!

Green Tea is also supposed to boost your immune system. Tea in general is a great diuretic too so be careful not to drink too much. I love hot green tea with a tsp. of honey.

I don't feel so bad for being addicted to green tea now. I'll have to try the fruit-yogurt-cheese combination before workouts. Thanks for the info, Wobbles!
