Keep on walking

I've seen that board members like Phatboy and Sizeseven like walking. That's a great thing because there is so much more to walking than the benefit of staying fit. BBC recently reported on how walking is now known to reduce the risk of breast cancer. The report was based on a study published in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention. It reveals that walking, in general, reduces the risk of many types of cancer. I'll now be spending more time walking than watching TV all weekend (it was great though). We should organize a walkathon one fine day.

That is really interesting, and what a great motivation to keep walking!

I saw that BBC report, too! It helps to motivate me to walk when I think about how I'm reducing my risk for diseases. It's beautiful fall weather here right now, and it's fairly easy to get out there and walk. The winter will be a bit harder.
