Your strengths and weaknesses?

What parts of your body do you find the easiest/hardest to work? Any strength exercises where you feel you are strong, or perhaps weak and need to work on more?

For me I think my legs are the strongest, they still need a lot of work but progression wise I think they have come on the most from going to the gym.

Shoulders and arms are my weakest I think, need to really push with those. I've started to do clean and press now in the gym to hopefully help build up strength in those areas.

I find its more what I'm doing rather than the area ...

I get on with the v traction, leg press and upper back but HATE the leg curl and chest press. The chest press always makes me crack as well, annoying!

Taking this easy though, I did try to build it but I need to see to the weight and cardio more before I start upping this any/much further than I am then I will see what one of the PTs say when I get to my weight to maintain.

My arms are pretty weak, the chest press just KILLS me. At the minute I can only push about 15kgs on them, but as Wobbles said it depends what I'm doing as I find the lateral pull-down weights not as bad, as tonight I pulled down 37.5kgs.

My strengths are my legs - I carry most weight on my lower body, but my legs are pretty strong. I LOVE the leg press and the hip traction, and I can really feel them working and tend to push anything over 75kgs.

I think the chest is a weak area for a lot of people, our legs are just naturally stronger because of the weight we carry on them all day.

I guess it also depends what you want out of your exercises too? To just strengthen and tone (light weight high reps) or build up some serious strength and muscle (heavy weight lower reps)

I moved the chest press down to 10kg and more reps.

My gym referral lady said i need to do higher weight and only 3x12reps. She said if I can do 3x12 easily then the weights are too light?

I've also been told to include planks and bodyweight squats to my circuit which I find hard to overcome.my self-conciousness. I'm far too fat to be plankin all over the gym lol!

I cannot do push ups to save my life, that's definitely my weakness!

Haha I'm not into doing body weight stuff like that in the gym either, do that at home where nobody can watch

I'll have to! The little area designated for it where the mats are etc is literally 2m in front of all the bikes so everyone gawps at you! I was brave Friday and actually gave it ago but the gym was completely empty - I still felt stupid!

Thing with the chest press for me is I crack every single rep, really peeves me off so I find it uncomfortable. Heavier it is the more uncomfortable it is.

I'm once day away from completing my initial log sheet on strength so I will see what the PTs say next week. It's the only one I haven't upped without bringing it back down.
