I have the Fitbit flex at the moment and loved it but seem to be having charging issues with it at the moment. My husband wants to buy me a more recent Fitbit for my birthday. What kind of Fitbit do you have and do you recommend it?

I have th surge and love it. My friends testing it out before she buys at the moment.

I've used in swimming in lakes on trails and on tough mudder ... it still lives.

If you want simple and quick to use then it's definitely a good watch. If you don't need/ant the GPS friends recommend the Charge HR.

Isn't there a new one out right now?

The surge sounds quite good. I just need something quite simple that counts step and tracks sleep, although I always forget to put it into sleep mode anyway!

The latest one is the fitBit Blaze. It looks really smart but the advert looks like it's more aimed at more athletic people than me. All I do is walking these days really!

I love my Flex. And it's ideal for me because I mainly want to track steps and sleep too.

You also don't even need to put it in to sleep mode anymore, it automatically picks up when you are asleep and when you wake up. I've made notes of the times I've fallen asleep (roughly) and woken up to check how correct it is and it's pretty accurate!

The band for mine has become damaged recently, so I need to get a new wristband for it. I did contemplate getting a new one completely, but this one is ideal for what I want. And the actual device works fine, even though I've had it around 18 months!

Although for what I do, I think if I changed it at any point, I would probably go for the Charge as it tracks floors climbed too, maybe the HR version actually.
But for the amount of activity I currenlty do, I don't need anything more than that

The HR gives an accurate calorie burn and GPS will track your distance over steps.

That'll probably be the one I go for when I need to upgrade, especially if I decide to get my backside into gear again properly

My Fitbit flex is back in action! Turns out it wasn't broken, it was the charging cable. Now it's fully charged and working again. It had an update on it so I've done that but can't see anything different yet.

I will probably get the HR one in the future at some point xx

Hopefully it should do the auto-sleep thing tonight Bevz!

My Fitbit app has just updated with a new category to show which hours you are more active... I was very inactive today
Downside of having a desk job!

It did the sleep thing automatically, yay!

I just noticed the new category. That's very interesting!

Yay!

And yeah that new category is interesting... shows me even more information of what I don't do when I'm at work
