2 weeks off - Will I gain weight again from exercise?

When I started the gym I noticed some gain then as time went on I noticed the scales moved slower but I was losing inches (reminds me I should check this again) which is fine but I had 2 weeks off so am I to expect a gain again do you think also as mentioned on my journal my strength program is completely different.

I do cardio before and after strength training twice a week and full cardio day at least once a week.

I had an off couple of weeks at the beginning of may (lost two of my uncles and my cousin in the space of two weeks all unrelated) so was up the wall with my mum then dad bein down from scotland, and in the week i really got back into it i stayed the same which annoyed me but just needed to get back on it.

I actually didnt know your body had to adjust to exercise til then tho

It probably will The same is happening to me, had a few weeks off and by the 3rd day back on I was holding +2lbs It's shifting very slowly indeed, didn't check today.

But it's all good as I know once the scales take off again I will lose very well and I will notice each lb I want to be under 10st by september and even though that's only 8lbs away it feels like a mountain to climb but I WILL do it

You might gain a little, but after 2 weeks it could just be a maintain. I'm going to be starting the shred again and am dreading it cos I know I always gain when I start it! My shape changes really quickly with it though, so hopefully it'll be a temporary thing!

Well I did 1 strength and 1 cardio last week *fail*

Got stuck right into it yesterday and I've gained, it can be the only reason. I drank 5-6 pints of water as well

Try not to panic, it will shift down again. I don't think this heat helps either, I think we all hold extra water xx

Does water retention add to your waist though or just in weight is the question I suppose.
