Tummy Terrors - Advice please

Morning everyone

I am feeling incredibly motivated on my diet and already losing well. The thing that really terrifies me is losing weight and my stomach having lots of loose saggy skin left behind.

I had children very young (the eldest is 21 now) and since then have had very little muscle tone in my stomach and it is already a bit on the saggy loose side. I worry that if I lose weight it will just get worse and I will be left with even less self confidence than I have now.

Can anyone give me any advice on exercises I could start with to help tone - which aren't too hard as I am very big still and totally unfit. I would hate to need a tummy tuck or anything once I have managed to lose the weight.

Thanks so much for any advice

I think the loose skin thing is more of a problem with surgical weight loss patients than it is with traditional diet/exercise weight loss. The reason I say this is that usually the weight loss associated with bariatric surgery is a lot more rapid. When you're losing weight the "traditional" way, though diet and exercise, that weight comes off more slowly so your skin has a chance to shrink in proportion to the weight loss.

Thanks Manda, you've really put my mind at ease. It's always worried me a bit and I would hate to self sabotage my weight loss because I am worried about what "could" happen haha. Silly I know. Thanks again
