Toning over-stretched skin?

I couldn't work out where the best place for this was, but figured it would be here! Basically, the skin on my tummy is really over stretched, which makes me really wobbly! OH mentioned on hol how he was surprised how wobbly it is, cos I don't have that much fat, whereas he's proper fat and his is dead solid

Anyway, I know they say to take te weightloss slow and drink plenty of water to get the elasticity back and give the skin time to shrink back, but I'm worrying it won't work! Does anyone know the best way to make it tone up? I'm just so scared of getting to the end of my weightloss and still having a shit load of saggy skin when I so desperately want it all nice and toned!

Can you join a gym? I'd be aiming for resistance training combined with cardio. Take a look at my wobble on my journal if you haven't already.

If you can't there must be some DVDs out there to help with basic equipment.

Are you still losing weight or are you at maintain?

I can't afford the gym but I really want to do heavy lifting! I was keeping my eye out on freecycle incase anyone was getting rid of some weights, but we've converted my office into a 3rd bedroom!

Ive got so many DVDs it's unreal, 30ds, yoga ones, belly blaster, silly dance ones! Got my kettle bell too which I used to love!

I'm torn between losing more and maintaining tbh, I keep getting told not to lose any more - I think I'd ve happy if the scales stayed the same, but inches went down bow really!

Will take a look at your journal now!

Ooo thanks hun! It's a little far from me though, would take about 30 mins to get there! I almost got a bootcamp deal off there once though, it's just down the road, but I was too chicken to do it on m own haha! But I've found out someone from work goes, so next time one comes up I'm so on it!

Yea I'll keep an eye open, I tend to just delete my livingsocial/groupon emails without reading so I'm not tempted to spend money I dont have but will start reading them! Took some pics before but can't bloody upload them!

Heavy lifting won't fix that Hun, Slow gradual toning is going to give you the best chance of losing it, and for toning, that means light weights and lots of reps, whatever form of weights you may use.

It just takes time and patience

Dammit, why does it have to take time?! I want it now

The things I'd read said it was best to lift heavier and do less reps, but I'm guessing that's more for people who are already kinda there and just need to boost it?

Dya reckon something like kettlebells with yoga/pilates and 30ds would work? I've never really had a toned body and looking at my mum/sister it's probs genetic, even when they've been dead skinny theu've never had a toned tummy! Bloody genes!

I have heard several members of Weight Watchers who are now on maintenance say that drinking milk daily aids in shrinking excess skin. The ones I spoke too have all lost a large amount of weight, some over 100 lbs and they all look great. I'm sure they combined that with exercise also.
