Interesting fitness app
I've been looking for interesting ways to switch up my daily walks, and a friend told me about an app that tracks your steps and tells you a story. I'm not too fond of zombies, but it might be worth a try. It's called "The Walk." Has anyone else heard of this? Is it any good?

Ooo I've just googled and it looks really interesting! I'd definitely be downloading it if my phone wasn't so rubbish! It said on the thing that I read that it was Nhs funded and the developers had made a similar thing for running in the past too!

That sounds like a great app. I would probably use that if it didn't use Internet? I don't think my phone would have enough data allowance.

I can't find it. Is it for Android or iOS?

Mitch, I think it's an Android app. Seems like I've heard about that Walk app before, but I've never tried it. I don't really use any of the fitness apps out there because I've got the Weight Watchers apps to help me track everything. Plus, I workout using DVDs.

I've got an iPhone, so probably wouldn't be able to get the app then.

Yes I have heard of this app before and I think it's fantastic! My friend has it and I was trying it out on his phone. You are basically surviving a zombie attack. If you ask me, I think it's a brilliant idea to get people up off the couch.

It sounds fun but I do not see it listed for Windows Phone users so I am out of luck. I have a feeling Santa is going to bring me a FitBit so we will see how that works for now.

I found it for iPhone. It would be nice if there was a trial version! I love the idea, but I'm terrified of zombies. Maybe I'll just walk faster!!

Hi, I'm new to the forum and know this is an old thread but hopefully it will get some responses. I've been using a free app, Moves on my android phone for some time. At first I was delighted with it especially as it uses very little battery but now I realize its not very accurate. It tells me I've walked much further than I actually have some days and doesn't record the return journey at other times. Can anyone recommend a more accurate app, I'm happy to pay for a good one. Many thanks.
