Hi and welcome Pickieannie!

I have used cycling apps for tracking your ride / run and they're accurate I think. Something like track my ride or Strava - you set it as you start out and it tells you how far you've gone.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and know this is an old thread but hopefully it will get some responses. I've been using a free app, Moves on my android phone for some time. At first I was delighted with it especially as it uses very little battery but now I realize its not very accurate. It tells me I've walked much further than I actually have some days and doesn't record the return journey at other times. Can anyone recommend a more accurate app, I'm happy to pay for a good one. Many thanks.
Hi Pickieannie

MapMyRun is an awesome app and very accurate

I've not used Strava but have been highly recommended to me before also...

The Walk is great for getting into walking.

Zombies Run is great for running. The intro version called Zombies Run C25k is great for new runners.
