Rice noodles

I've been looking for ways to cut down my carbs, and I've seen rice noodles cited as a good option over and over again. I don't see much of a difference in carb content compared with spaghetti noodles. Is there another benefit I'm missing here? Has anyone else tried substituting rice noodles in pasta dishes?

One thing about rice noodles, while not having fewer carbs, they would still be a much healthier option for anyone that needs to avoid gluten in their diet.

I've looked into this before and nutritionally, they are almost the same. They have virtually the same carbs and fat. Oddly enough regular noodles have more protein, but considering the amount of protein found in pasta, it's not worth it. Many people do switch to rice noodles if they are going "gluten-free". And I prefer rice noodles...I don't feel so "heavy" after eating them...

These are all good considerations. I don't have an issue with gluten, but any carb reduction I can find is good. I don't know if I'm brave enough to try making spaghetti with rice noodles, but I might just try. Maybe I'll start with a little marinara first.
