Low fat = more carbs

When looking at labels on low fat foods, I notice that to compensate for the loss of flavor from the fat, they add sugar. I always look for yogurt that has the lowest carb count amongst the ones on sale. I eat a lot of yogurt so this is a constant battle at the store. The higher sugar content is far more unhealthy than the fat content.
You can't be more correct. The annoying thing about it is that normaly those labels imply the high sugar, lower fat products are healthy - THEY ARE NOT!
Definitely! They either compensate with sugar or salt. I would much rather have the regular fat version and avoid the extra sugar!

No so much from a dieting/scientific point of view but from personal preference, I've always preferred normal (full fat) food but in moderation than choosing the low fat (low taste) options
My problem is I like food, so portion control ends up going out the window
Have you tried the completely organic yogurt? I am not sure what the carb count is on that, but we eat the yogurt from the health food store and it's bitter, but we know we have control over the sugars we put into it.
