Weigh day nerves!

Weigh day is tomorrow, I've been so good everyday this week, However I don't use Syns practically at all, at the most 5/6 a day, if that. Would this effect my loss? Should I be having more Syns?!

Advice guys? What works for you?

My consultant always says you should eat your syns and many group members say they try eat as many of their syns as they can.

I personally aim for 8-10 but then I usually have a night off every week so I am probably eating more syns over a week. I wouldn't recommend that option though!

I always eat my syns, but in the form of oil or cheese or perhaps an avocado as opposed to chocolate, crisps that kind of thing. Healthier fats - well, not the cheese

I don't think it will stop your losses, but my consultant says that you should eat them so you don't give up in the long run. I think she's right, you can bend and shape those syns.. so you can eat the things you really WANT to eat.. so temptations that you can limit in size but mean you don't end up leaving or giving up.

So.. what I'm trying to say is, don't be overly strict on yourself - do have some of your syns, and remember the days when temptation bites you can 'flexi-syn' so you can have a few more one day and a few less another day to accommodate a treat or such.

I'm sure you'll be fine this week - have a chat with your consultant and keep going

I love avocado! I was told to only have half a week by my consultant. How may Syns are they?
Do either of you count Syns per day or by the week? 🤔

I rarely have food Syns unless I am eating out as I save them for wine at the weekend!

Look up avocado chocolate mousse ladies.

Problem with some GOOD foods like avocados is they are syn'ed on SW yet they are good for us, good fats!

I'm not sure on the syns, anyone else know?

It's my only bug bear with SW, the syn values of healthy fats. But there you go, needs must at the moment. I love making smoothies with avocados too, rather than dairy. They're pretty much a no-go on SW too I suspect

General consensus seems to be that an average sized avocado is 14 syns Sigh

I have to agree... I can't understand how a mugshot would be free but half an avocado wouldn't be! Im sure it has something to with the fat level as everything on SW is low fat, but surely there should be a way of seperating healthy and non healthy fats?
