you can do it Kazoo, the emotions that go with food are hard to battle sometimes but everytime we make a good choice over a bad one we're winning a small part of the war.

Looby - thank you for such an amazing post - I'm pretty sure that I will see a gain on Sunday but your attitude after your gain is fab, and I'm going to take inspiration from it and get right back on plan!

In the past, I have always seen a gain as an excuse to give up...

...but that gets us no-where. So this time round, when I have had the odd gain here and there, it's straight back on it. And if I really can't see where the gain has come from, I revert back to writing it all down again. I'm therefore accountable for every single morsel that passes my lips.

Makes a big difference.

You can do it, Kazoo Master xxx

Matt - Welsh is compulsory to GCSE and often jobs are seeking Welsh speakers, first language schools are out there too, though colleges and uni's are all English first so first language welsh speakers do struggle a little in transitioning from Welsh learning to English. It's made something of a comeback and road signs are all Welsh first English second the further you get from the M4.

Looby - you'll soon have that shifted, the overall losses for the month or even more are what matters. Sounds like you had a fab week - jealous of the VW show! lol

Best weather of the week today and I'm working (typical) for the next 3 days.. off for my anniversary and back in day after. Trying to get my fit log done again this week but work days impact on it as I'm on my feet for 9 hours I never fancy exercise. it doesn't count towards it though so need to do something...

Have a great week!
Ah that's cool, I didn't know being able to speak Welsh was still a sought after quality ^_^

Have a lovely anniversary!

Which body magic award are you working towards? I got my bronze way back in January by just doing some brisk walks, but I felt I was doing it for the sake of it and not achieving anything from it. Couch to 5K has made me feel great though, and I think it's boosting my losses. I'm on my final week, but I've hurt my ankle on my past two runs trying to hit 5k in 30 minutes (I got to 4.84k!), so I'm going to let it rest for a few days and hopefully it'll be better by Sunday Silver Body Magic is 30 minutes exercise x3 a week (or 15 minutes x6), and as I now run for 30 minutes x3 a week, I'm going to get that silver body magic award before Japan ^_^

And thanks Elen and Kazoo Master! Best of luck to you both

Matt it might be wise to back off on time and just run the 5k? could be you're trying too make it too fast. I did couch to 5k about 10 years ago now (before it got mega popular it was by a site called cool runnings). I was a slow runner though - but did a couple of race for life events which was good. I got up to running 10k but again.. slowly. lol

I'm aiming for bronze first, I'm finding work is getting in the way at the moment as I'm doing overtime on top of my normal shifts and am on my feet for 7 hours so my feet kill me. In a normal week with good weather I ride my horse, do tai chi class and a boxfit class. Last week I did swimming, yoga and boxfit.
This week I'm struggling to fit anything in other than a walk which is not good, hoping to do yoga and swimming on Saturday (my only ay off between Wednesday and Sunday). I've completed 3 weeks already though so just need to fit in enough for 1 more week.

Hello all!

Well done with all your losses and awards; you're all doing fab.

I've had a few stressful weeks; lots of personal/family problems but I didn't let it affect what I was eating, however I still put on weigh, which is why I haven't posted. I wanted to have some control over one part of my life yet that wasn't working either sorta wanted to give up at one point, especially after my bestie had a week of eating white bread, chips, chocolate, battered fish... All the naughty stuff and she lost 3.5lb and I had a great week and put on 1.5lb

Still, I keep trying!

Managed to squeeze in a walk - took daughters cycling - one is learning and one is 5 so we can't cycle at same time yet. BUT... middle daughter learned to cycle all on her own today - practised starting, stopping and cycling - she is as thrilled as we are

So earned one day of my bronze before work which was a goal for this week

SpoonyMouse - glad you're back - don't feel you can't post when you gain we're all friends here ((hugs)) hope you can get back on track and stick around to let us know how you're getting on.

Thanks Purple. I just feel disappointed... Three weeks of gains really affected me. I still find it a struggle at times to see that I've lost anything my consultant suggested I put a before and after pic together so I can see as she saw how down I was.

Well done on your start towards the bronze award and well done to your littlies

Have you gained back all you've lost in 3 weeks? No.. I'd bet money you haven't or anywhere near. If anything the gain might kickstart some big losses again. Just concentrate one day at a time - get yourself on track and wait for the numbers to fall they will - you know it works - you've proven it!

@PurpleJ - Yeah I'll either focus on the 30 minutes, or focus on the 5k. I am gonna give it one last shot this weekend once my ankle has properly healed, as it's already quite a bit better, but I'm not going to continuously hurt myself just to get the 5k in half an hour.

Welcome back Spoony! I understand you feeling down, most of us have been there where we've had perfect weeks and it's just done the complete opposite. I'm not going to lecture you on the plan, you obviously know it. But you said it didn't affect what you were eating, but have things affected how much you're eating? It's a common thing where people have said on the weeks they've eaten less, they haven't seen a loss, and that's the reason I think my SP days failed.

I went to London today to hand in my visa application, was naughtier than planned! Not absolutely mental, so still hoping to see a loss as I never let a bad meal ruin my week or even day. But me and my friend went to Chinatown, and I had x8 Pork Dumplings and a Pork and Kimchi Bun. So, so delicious! Also had sweet inari rice pockets and a couple of rice balls, one with teriyaki chicken.

I still want to see losses these next few weeks, but I'm definitely going to be a lot more lax with the plan.

Thanks Matt I think the past few weeks are a daze but perhaps you're right. I know I was snacking on apples etc and made sure I had a good breakfast but perhaps there was something slightly off with what I was doing.
