Herbal supplements?

I'm pretty new to SW, but I lost weight before (admittedly put most of it back on ) but so far so good as this time round I'm more motivated. and lost 6.5 lbs on my first week!!!

One thing I haven't been able to find out about is how the SW plan views various supplements? I use to take ketones and green tea capsules the first time round, and wondered if it would cause a problem with the SW plan.

That's a fantastic loss! Well done!!

To be honest I don't know what the view is regarding supplements. My assumption would be that they would advise against it, but that may depend on what kind of supplement you take.

I've no idea what ketones are in honesty, so I wouldn't even know what they are meant to do/improve.
And as for the green tea supplements, why not drink a cup of green tea instead of taking a tablet form? Surely the effects would be the same??
(This is why I've never gone for supplements and vitamins, I'd rather eat the piece of fruit/veg/meat or drink whatever it is instead lol)

I do drink green tea anyway, might just experiment with herbal supplements and see if it makes any difference.

I have a personal trainer who advised me to take them as they only contain herbal remedies but he also doesn't agree with the SW plan so we'll have to wait and see!

Will talk to my group leader too and see how it goes!! :-)

Hi Amy!

Nice one on your first week loss, I've done the 'gain' it's crap but have to leave it behind you and crack on with your goals now.

Ketone ... waste of time & money
Green tea ... yes, drink drink

You'll find some trainers don't agree with many plans apart from the eat whole and clean but they should respect the plan you have chosen.
