Meal inspiration

Hi!
So I have been doing slimmingworld on and off since last November, but I am starting to lose insiration for meals - espeically now that its coming into the colder weather (bye bye salads!)
I was just wondering what sort of things people eat, if i can perhaps steal some ideas.
Unfortunately I'm on a tight budget, but can make most things work, and i cant eat a lot of spice.
Thanks in advance

Have you got a slow cooker? Doing things in that is always great for the colder months, especially when you come home to an amazing smelling meal all through the house
I like a lot of 'one pot' meals - casseroles, stews, etc. And soups, soups are great because you can throw virtually anything into them and they're so easy to make.

There are some good recipes on here (look in Pete's thread, he's got loads!) and there's always a way to adapt it to what your tastes are

I've gone off salad too now the weather has turned. I generally live off pasta, rice and potatoes. Chopped tomatoes and sauteed veg are versatile to add to anything. Chicken thighs are really good done slowly, as are cheaper joints of pork. Tinned beans and lentils cost pennies and add bulk and texture as well as being super healthy.

If you can order a book there are loads of great ideas in them. I basically still eat what I ate before but with side salad or veg so spag bol and side salad, curry with lots and veg and maybe brocolli, 5 bean chili with sweet potato wedges. The website also has loads of ideas. Omelettes are great cooked with fry light and soups!

Ill have to get some lentils etc and make some soups! I do love soups! And omelette! Good idea! I made a slimming world pasta omellette before and even OH loved it...I will have to go on a search for the recipe!

I'm trying to get a couple of meals out of my veggies. So tonight we are having steak with baked butternut squash "chips". So I am using half the squash for chips and half will go towards a soup. I'm making butternut squash and carrot soup and the carrots are left over from dinner last night (and last nights left over dinner is my lunch for work today and the soup will be Thurs / Fri lunch).

I'm enjoying soup at the moment. On Sunday I made a pan of pea soup that was delicious and works out about 30p per serving. Just frozen peas, few handfuls of frozen veggies, one potato, some garlic and onion. I tend to buy store own brand frozen veggies so I don't have to worry about them going off in the fridge.

Last nights dinner was chicken, leek and ham pie topped with mash. Just made a creamy sauce up with Quark and that was yummy with vegetables.

I get a lot of recipes from a blog called slimming eats. If you just google slimming eats blog you will find it and there are so many yummy slimming world friendly recipes on there. I've tried the balsamic chicken recipe and that was yummy.

I make a lot of the SW crustless quiche. I load it up with veggies and have that with baked beans for a filling breakfast.

I remember last Winter I actually lived off of homemade soups - I do love them, and i remember bulking them out with pasta to make them go even further (and it made it easier for my then 14 month old to eat!)
I'll go and have a search for that blog. It's so hard to find inspiration when you're the only slimmer around and I really don't have the funds for group
Thank you for your input
