Sugar Detox

I've been watching a lot of programs recently about food, diets and sugar etc (Perhaps a little too many as I sat crying through Netflix's 'Fed Up' today - I'm blaming hormones! Definitely worth a watch though if you like those kind of programs)

I just wondered whether anybody had managed to kick processed foods and sugars, whether completely or by a large amount and how you are finding it? I'm getting better, but would like to quit for good.

You will do it Lindsey! Everything from carbs to caffeine are kickable let alone sugars, fizzys and additives.

We stopped having processed food as much as possible about 10 years ago and can really tell the difference if we have something even like a cook in sauce. We can tell our mood changes! Perhaps it helped that my kids were young in the late '80's and '90's when all the stuff about E numbers, preservatives, colourings and fast foods was very much in the fore. Unfortunately kids from that era are now parents and have passed a lot of the habits on and it's going to be a while before that cycle is broken but I think society is now turning.

It is doable, it really is an addiction like any other and can be miserable to go through, but stick with it!
