Old Slimming World - 1998

I'm from the old school of Slimming World - Green Days (carb) and Red Days (protein)! I used to be a consultant in Kidlington. I've tried the new Slimming World but it unfortunately doesn't work with my body.

I had weight loss surgery a few years ago, so I can't eat a whole lot at a time. On the old way of Slimming World I was able to lose quite a bit of weight.

Is anyone else working the old Slimming World by keeping carbs and proteins separate?

Thanks!

I did slimming world in 2004 so red/green days for me too! I've started back again and although my group leader would prefer I was on extra easy she said it's about helping me to achieve and if I want to do green days then she will support me

There are plenty of people who stick to the Red & Green days. If it works for you then carry on with it.
The resources are still available onthe SW website, but they just aren't as obvious as they used to be.

That's good to know that resources are still available on the SW site. I can't remember if eggs are allowed on green days. I want to find recipes so that I don't get bored with cooking the same old 'safe' recipes. Thank you!

I couldn't believe it when she said red and green were gone when I joined a few weeks back!. So far I've got on okay but sometimes I still panic over unlimited eating meat, veg and pasta in the same dish.

I'm sure eggs were free?

Good luck

I'm another red and green aficionado. Old habits die hard. Eggs are neutral, I eat quite a few a week for brekkie, then I can decide on which way to go through the day. It helps that I've got hens laying.... Good luck HoB.

Hello I first started sw last year when you still got a little booklet on the original and Green days I can go have a look and see what's listed I follow Green as a vegetarian I find the two healthy extras helpful. Ok so booklet says 1 choose your free food which I believe is now called speed 2 choose one or two healthy extra As and two healthy extra Bs and 3 5 to 15 syns. Eggs are free dairy such as quark low fat cottage cheese fat free yogurt and fromage frais. The frees foods are slightly different though such as sweet potato and normal white ones aren't free on red. Hope it helps x

Hi, I'm a greenie too! I'm not vegetatarian, but prefer to have the carbs, with a bit of 'B' meat if I need to x

I've lost over 4 stone without going to classes, just using my old books! I have been naughty and put on quite a bit over the summer holidays, but am on a mission now.
